US scrap market dips in March trade
Scrap prices have fallen sharply in the US domestic market on mills’ bids last week, as expected.
The trade began on 6 March with a Midwest mill’s bids at a decrease of $70/gross ton for prime grades from February settled prices. Bids for shredded and cut grades opened down $50/gt and $40/gt respectively, sources inform Kallanish.
