US scrap market expects stabilisation in April
Approaching April trading, participants in the US scrap market remain positive about April pricing following a sharp March slump.
Although there are some mills that still expect prices to soften amid production halts, most market participants think prices will either stabilise or strengthen from March values.
A dealer tells Kallanish: “Only outages might hamper prices. Other fundamentals are supportive of firmer scrap.”
