Prices drop for US standard pipe
This week, prices for welded A53 eased up for buyers, according to market sources.
A distribution source puts A53 at $1,500-$1,800/short ton, down from $1,695-$1,845/st in the previous week. All prices ex-works, domestic mill, plain-end, Kallanish notes.
The source didn’t provide an explanation for the drop, but mentioned that domestic seamless steel A53 is on par with the cost of P110, from $3,200-$3,400/st, depending on the manufacturer.
