US plate prices move higher
US plate prices have risen again this week, with at least one mill announcing a $50/short ton price increase and other mills expected to follow.
An announced $50/st price increase by Cleveland-Cliffs last week has pushed A36 plate prices up to $1,880-1,910/st, ex-works mill this week. Prices are up from $1,800-1,850/st at the beginning of March, according to Kallanish’s records.
