US plate prices flatten on-week
US plate prices are holding their value for a second week as the market continues to face low demand, according to market participants.
Spot transactions for carbon steel plates are still occurring within the range of $1,040-1,100/short ton, Kallanish reports.
"Business is terrible," a midwestern plate distributor complains. "Prices haven't changed. There is nothing positive to speak of."
