US plate prices slip again, more decreases possible
US plate pricing has weakened again, with market participants anticipating that domestic mills will issue further price reductions because demand remains tepid.
Prices for carbon steel plate fell to a new range of $1,170-1,200/short ton this week, from $1,190-1,210/st the prior week, Kallanish reports.
