US plate imports sag in October
US plate imports appear to have fallen in October, Kallanish learns from the US Department of Commerce.
October plate import licenses totalled 67,251 tonnes, down from September’s final count of 87,740t. License figures are usually higher than the final reported count due to order cancellations and other factors.
If October’s license figure holds, it will represent the lowest level of US plate imports since last October’s 49,159t.
