US OCTG mills aim for higher 2019 prices
US oil country tubular goods mills are pushing for higher base prices in 2019, Kallanish understands.
At least one major mill has reportedly increased base prices for its OCTG and line pipe product lines by $50/short ton, says one Gulf Coast buyer. It is likely other mills will soon follow, he says.
The increase is effective for all shipments slated on or after 1 January.
