US new home sales remain up in June
Sales of new single-family houses in June continue to rise despite a slow down in construction gains seen over the past month, Kallanish reports.
In the month of June, sales of new single-family houses were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 776,000 units, according to data gathered by the US Census Bureau and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 13.8% above May's revised seasonally adjusted annual rate of 682,000 units.
