US mills allege Chinese sheet duty evasion
Four US mills have filed a petition with the US Department of Commerce for an investigation into duty evasion by Chinese coated and cold-rolled sheet producers, Kallanish reports.
ArcelorMittal USA, Nucor, AK Steel and US Steel allege that Chinese sheet producers are diverting material through Vietnam to evade duties imposed in July. Chinese coated material carries an anti-dumping duty of 199.43% while cold-rolled material carries an anti-dumping duty of 265.79%…
