US mill output hits highest level in months
Raw steel production in the US rose last week to the highest weekly amount since early February, Kallanish learns from the latest American Iron and Steel Institute report.
Operating at 80.9% of capabilities, US mills produced an estimated 1.766 million short tons of raw steel products during the week ended 16 April. This was a 1.6% week-on-week increase but a 3.7% year-on-year decline.
