US metal shipments rise in May
US primary and fabricated metal shipments rose from April to May with new primary orders for primary metals increasing as well, Kallanish learns from data gathered by the US Census Bureau.
According to the US Census Bureau's advance durable goods report, shipments of preliminary metals rose 1.6% in May to $22.2 billion. Shipments of fabricated metal products rose, as well, by 0.4% in May to $33.41 billion.
