US metal sales, inventories rise in June
US metal sales and inventory levels rose from April to May, Kallanish learns from data collected by the US Census Bureau.
According to the Census Bureau's monthly wholesale trade report, US metal sales rose to $18.6 million in May from $17.8m in the prior month. This is a 4.6% monthly increase in sales following a 5.7% increase in April from March. On-year, US metal sales remain up 90.3% from sales in May 2020 totaling $9.8m.
