US manufacturing activity continues to grow
US manufacturing activity posted an increase for the fourth month in a row in June, Kallanish learns from the US Institute for Supply Management.
The institute’s purchasing manager’s index climbed to 53.2 in June, up from May’s reading of 51.3. Index values over 50 indicate growth.
Of the 18 manufacturing segments polled, 13 reported overall growth – including fabricated metal products and primary metals.
