US long steel imports increase in May
Import volumes of long carbon steel products into the US increased to an 11-month high in May, Kallanish learns from the latest preliminary data collected by the US Department of Commerce for its steel monitoring system.
According to Commerce's enforcement and compliance office, monthly import volumes of long carbon steel products into the US increased by 1.5% in May, totaling 487,676 tonnes for the month.
