US line pipe pricing falls in October
US line pipe prices slipped in October for the first time in a year, Kallanish understands from data analyst Pipe Logix.
Average US line pipe prices fell -0.4% from September to October, reaching $1,556/short ton. Prices had been increasing every month since October 2016.
The change was entirely due to a drop in domestic line pipe prices, with import prices steady month on month at $1,264/st.
Domestic prices, meanwhile, fell -0.7% to $1,848/st.
