US line pipe pricing drops in January
Average US line pipe prices declined in January, according to analyst firm Pipe Logix.
Pipe Logix puts average US line pipe pricing at $1,538/short ton, down -0.5% from December, Kallanish notes.
Domestic pricing fell by -0.8% to $1,703/st, while import pricing fell by -0.2% to $1,373/st. Seamless import items posted the lone percentage increase of 1%, which was more than offset by 1 -1.9% decrease in welded imports.
