US line pipe prices rise 1.3% in April
US average line pipe prices increased 1.3% from March to April, led by imports, Kallanish learns from data analyst Pipe Logix.
Average US prices reached $1,927/short ton in April. Domestic prices rose 0.9% to $2,205/st, while import prices rose 1.9% to $1,650/st.
Pipe Logix finds that its sentiment index was essentially unchanged from March to April, with improving sentiment in price outlook and order fulfillment balanced by inventory concerns.
