US line pipe imports spike in February
US line pipe imports are on track to hit their highest level since April, Kallanish learns from US Department of Commerce import data.
The US applied for 139,797 tonnes of line pipe in February, up from January’s final tally of 87,164 t and February 2016’s final tally of 111, 125 t.
Line pipe’s 12-month peak was April’s total of 144,196 t.
Korea remains the largest country-of-origin by volume for line pipe with 46,460 t.
