US ITC rules on wire rod duties

The US International Trade Commission has given the go-ahead for duties to be imposed on carbon and alloy steel wire rod from Italy, Korea, Spain, Turkey and United Kingdom, Kallanish reports. The commission found evidence of injury to the domestic industry by a vote of 4-1. The non-affirmative vote was an abstention rather than a rejection.
