US mills boost HRC prices to $1,000-1,100/short ton
The hot rolled coil market in the US is facing more price increases, as domestic mills are adding to their two-month price-hike spree with another round of upward adjustments.
US Steel has increased prices of HRC products to the spot base price of $1,000/short ton, according to market sources. Nucor is moving its spot prices to a minimum of $1,100/st, Kallanish learns.
