US HRC, CRC imports fall, HDG up
Both hot-rolled and cold-rolled sheet imports into the US appear to have fallen in July, though hot-dipped galvanized sheet imports ticked up, Kallanish learns from the US Department of Commerce.
Hot-rolled licenses totalled 197,418 tonnes in July, down from 207,291t in June’s preliminary count. Cold-rolled licenses likewise fell to 226,867t in July from 251,135t in June.
Hot-dipped licenses, however, rose 281,515t from 271,856t.
