US construction spending rises in January
US construction spending rose both on-year and on-month in January, according to data released by the US Department of Commerce.
In December, construction spending was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.522 trillion, up 1.7% above December of last year, Kallanish reports. On-year, construction spending during January was up 5.8% from $1.438 trillion in January 2021.
