US construction input prices rise in August
US construction input prices rose 0.6% in August, with non-residential inputs rising 0.3%, according to an analysis by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the US Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Producer Price Index data, Kallanish reports.
“Inflation has been coming in a bit hotter than anticipated, which gives contractors cause for concern,” says ABC chief economist Anirban Basu.
