US, Canadian rig counts balance gains, losses
The US and Canadian rig counts moved in equal but opposite directions in the week ended 11 November, Kallanish learns from energy services firm Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by nine net rigs to 779, up 223 from the equivalent week last year.
All of the new US rigs were geared for oil production. Louisiana posted the largest net gain by state with six, while Pennsylvania led the losses with two.
