US bulk scrap prices stabilise in South Korea
US bulk scrap prices are fairly stable in South Korea, Kallanish notes. US suppliers are also making bulk offers to Indonesia and Vietnam
South Korea’s Dongkuk Steel ordered a 32,000-tonne scrap cargo at $357/tonne cfr HMS 1 basis late last week, Seoul-based trading sources say. The cargo is due for September arrival and is $0.50/t lower than a US bulk scrap August-arrival cargo which was ordered last month.
