US awards $1 billion to 70 infrastructure projects
The US Department of Transporation (DOT) has awarded $1 billion to 70 infrastructure improvement projects in 44 states through its Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant program, Kallanish reports.
According to the DOT, over 75% of the awarded projects were for improvements to US highways, roads, and bridges. Of the 70 projects, 58 were capital projects, which received a total of approximately $980 million. The 12 other project winners …
