US and Japanese scrap offers diverge in Vietnam
The scrap import market in Vietnam continued quiet amid the current weakness in Turkish scrap and ongoing week-long holiday in Turkey, Kallanish notes.
A US supplier is offering bulk scrap for shipment in October and first-half November at $350/tonne cfr Vietnam HMS 1&2 80:20 basis, importing sources say. Also, there is a 25,000-tonne cargo of Australian scrap offered at $355/t 80:20 basis.
