Universal Stainless raises VAR bar base prices
US stainless producer Universal Stainless is increasing its base prices for all low-alloy vacuum-arc remelted (VAR) bar products, Kallanish learns from a company pricing notice.
The increases of 5-10% will take effect 28 January for all new orders from the company’s Bridgeville, Pennsylvania; Dunkirk, New York; and North Jackson, Ohio, facilities.
All applicable alloy and energy surcharges will continue to apply.
