Unions says AMSA strike averted with wage deal

ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) has signed a wage agreement with the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA), which says it was on the verge of a strike over a pay dispute. The agreement, backdated to 1 April, meaning workers receive back pay, runs through March 2026.
