Unesid bemoans EU trade defence measures
The association of Spanish steel companies Unesid has expressed its dissatisfaction with the changes approved this week by the European Commission (EC) with special reference to the lesser duty rule (LDR) clause.
In a statement monitored by Kallanish, Unesid says that the proposals will weaken EU trade defence instruments. Many EU steelmakers were banking on the fact that the LDR would be abolished, but the rule has only been modified.
