Ukrainian steelmakers receive higher scrap tonnages in January-April
Steel plants in Ukraine were supplied with greater scrap tonnages in January-April, according to data from the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet. The volume amounted to 1.1 million tonnes, up by 22.3% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Reserves of scrap at steel plants at the end of last month amounted to 150,000-160,000t, UAVtormet says.
