Ukrainian steelmakers receive higher scrap tonnages in January
Steel plants in Ukraine were supplied with greater scrap tonnages in January, according to data from the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet. The volume amounted to 283,700 tonnes, up by 53.7% on-year, Kallanish notes.
The largest consumers in December were Metinvest and Dnieper Metallurgical Plant (DMK), each with 171,500t, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih with 58,100t and Interpipe with 44,600t.
