Ukrainian steelmakers receive higher first-half scrap tonnages
Steel plants in Ukraine were supplied with greater scrap tonnages in January-June, according to data from the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet. The volume amounted to 1.65 million tonnes, up by 26.3% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Reserves of scrap at steel plants at the end of last month amounted to 120,000-125,000 tonnes, UAVtormet says.
