Ukrainian steel plants receive record scrap tonnage
Steel plants in Ukraine were supplied with record scrap tonnages in March, show data from the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet.
The volume amounted to 283,400 tonnes, while mills required 238,000t of scrap last month, Kallanish notes.
The largest scrap consumers in March were Interpipe with 64,900t, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih with 48,400t, Azovstal with 47,100t, DMK with 46,000t and MMK’s Ilyich works with 32,800t.
