Ukrainian scrap purchases continue to fall, exports surge
Ukrainian mills decreased procurement of ferrous scrap in January-August, according to the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet.
Procurement was down 3.5% on-year to 754,500 tonnes, Kallanish notes. Domestic supply of scrap to Ukrainian enterprises was reduced by 15.8% on-year to 601,100t.
