Ukraine’s October steel output declines, pig iron increases

Ukrainian steel companies reduced production in January-October due to the Russian-Ukrainian war and logistical problems, according to national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom. Ten-month crude steel output amounted to 5.84 million tonnes, down by 67% on-year, Kallanish notes. Output of pig iron decreased by 67% to 5.81mt and rolled products were down 68.8% to 5mt.
