Ukraine significantly reduces scrap purchases amid war

Ukrainian enterprises reduced procurement of ferrous scrap in January-March, according to the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet. The volume purchase decreased by 40.2% on-year to 556,500 tonnes, Kallanish notes. The supply of scrap to Ukrainian enterprises also fell by 36.6% to 531,000t.
