Ukraine slams Interpipe with major scrap tax bill
The Ukrainian State Tax Service (STS) has filed tax claims against the pipe and railway products manufacturer Interpipe Vtormet scrap division for the period from 2015 to 2019. The STS claims that all scrap metal transactions are fictitious, i.e. allegedly that Interpipe did not purchase scrap, the company says.
STS is asking for UAH 2 billion ($74 million) from the company for the 'fictitious'' deals with scrap, Kallanish notes.
