Ukraine increases scrap purchases in March, exports fall
Ukrainian mills increased procurement of ferrous scrap in March compared with February, according to the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet.
Purchases were higher by 19.7% month-on-month and 2.4 times more year-on-year to 168,100 tonnes, Kallanish notes. Domestic supply of scrap to Ukrainian enterprises increased by 25.3% on-month and by 58.3% on-year to 138,500t.
