UK vehicle output slides again in January
UK vehicle manufacturing output fell again in January according data released by trade association SMMT monitored by Kallanish. This applied to both passenger car and commercial vehicle (CV) output.
UK car production fell by -2.1% year-on-year in January, the fifth successive month of decline. Exports increased by 4.1% to 97,870 units but production for the UK market tumbled by -23.9%.
