UK steelmakers request government support on CO₂ challenge
The UK government’s new report on carbon reduction in the environment by its Committee on Climate Change (CCC) has spurred comment by UK steelmakers. CCC's so-called ‘Net Zero’ report was published on 2 May 2019 and highlights the difficulties faced by the national industry, says trade association UK Steel director Gareth Stace in a note sent to Kallanish.
