UK Steel welcomes electricity price cap
UK Steel, the local steelmakers association, welcomed this week the announcement by the British government of a set price cap for electricity at £211/megawatt-hour ($239.20/MWh) for six months.
The UK government is the first in Europe to take such action. The European Commission is discussing comparable measures, but a decision has not been reached yet.
