UK Steel calls for government energy proposal details
UK Steel has called on government to reveal the details of the formal proposal submitted by Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng to Chancellor Rishi Sunak on how to tackle surging energy prices for industry, Kallanish notes.
The steelmakers’ association has commended the move but says: “We must see the details of such a proposal, to assess whether these measures will be sufficient to deal with the immediate problems we face”.
