UK, Romania drive Turkish welded pipe export growth
Turkish welded pipe exports rose 23% on-year in July to 174,861 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was $826.6/tonne versus $719.7/t in July 2017.
The most-exported product was HS code 730661, rectangular hollow sections, with 76,156t, up 10%. The main markets were Romania, Iraq and the UK. Romanian intake surged 146% to 21,471t, but Iraqi intake halved to 12,469t. UK intake rose 36% to …
