UK manufacturing sector remains lacklustre in May
The UK manufacturing PMI edged back above stagnation mark to 50.1 in May following the plunge below the neutral 50.0 level seen in April. Growth was registered in consumer and intermediate goods sectors but both input costs and average selling prices both moved higher according to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing (CIPS)/Markit survey monitored by Kallanish.
