UK manufacturing activity remains depressed in July
UK manufacturing sector activity was static in July according the latest survey IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) survey monitored by Kallanish. Output, new orders and employment all fell again. On a slightly brighter note, the businesses surveyed have forecast output to be higher in one year's time, Markit/CIPS says.
