UK manufacturing activity contracts in May
The UK Manufacturing PMI hit a near three-year low in May according to the latest survey by IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) monitored by Kallanish. New orders and employment both declined whilst stockpiling activity by companies halted following the Brexit date delay, Markit/CIPS says.
