UK construction sector begins 2018 in neutral
Activity in the UK construction sector dipped to a fourth-month low in January, according to the latest IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) survey monitored by Kallanish. Residential building activity, a bulwark for the sector in 2017, slipped into decline and a contraction in new business was witnessed during the month.
