UK construction sector activity shows October increase
The UK construction sector saw an increased level of activity in October according to the latest survey by IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), monitored by Kallanish. The civil engineering segment saw the fastest growth but this was counterbalanced by a slower general rise in new projects. Business optimism was also at its weakest for 6 years, the survey found.
